2022 Tom Jenkins Success Part VI
St Joseph's Regional College Year 10 student, Tom Jenkins has once again proved himself as one of Austalia's top Mountain Bike Riders after commpeting at the Auscycling National All Schools Cycling Challenge. Tom has a busy schedule ahead of him in the back half of 2022, travelling all over the country competing. A sincere thank you to Tom's father, Peter Jenkins for keeping us updated on Toms success. Peter has kindly provided the following report from the recent event.
Tom has been targetting and training up for this event over a number of months and is his first Auscycling National title. The event was a combination of Road, MTB and BMX disciplines run over three days attended by approx 240 students from all states in Australia and recognised the most consistent performer across five seperate events. Along the way he placed 1st in the MTB Enduro, 3rd in the MTB XC, 4th in the Road Sprint and 7th in the Road Criterium to accumulate enough points to claim the Overall trophy.
