2023 Schools Cup Netball News!
Congratulations to the Yr7/8 and Yr 9/10 Boys Netball teams who have taken out the Schools Cup Regional Finals held in Port Macquarie on 29th August.
Both teams dropped a game in the rounds placing them 2nd in their pool before the finals. The 7/8 boys easily took care of SCAS in the cross-over semifinal before coming up against arch rivals MacKillop in the final. Tied at 10-10 at fulltime, the match progressed to extra time, leading to a see-saw scoreline for the next 6 minutes. The boys eventually getting a crucial stop and winning 13-12.
The 9/10 team had a hard fought match in the cross-over against SCAS who, although taller, were not as fast and agile and were handed their first defeat of the day. In the final, our boys came up against SJPC Coffs who had beaten us in the rounds. The team showed excellent grit, resilience and teamwork eventually coming out on top.
