Australian Defence Force (ADF) visit the College
Recently, SJRC students were privileged to have Lieutenant Olivia Wadsworth (Navy Division) and Corporal Chloe Cooper (Army Division) from the Australian Defence Force attend the College to run an information session.
The informative presentation covered all aspects of pursuing a career within the ADF: recruitment, life as a soldier, officer training, ADFA degrees, different trades and job roles and they answered many varied questions from our students. A special treat was the Mobile ADF Career Centre (MACC) that they were able to bring to the College today. The MACC offers a unique opportunity for students to engage in one-on-one meetings with ADF members, allowing them to ask questions and gain further information about careers in the Defence Force.
Congratulations to the senior students (Years 10-12) who gave up their valuable class time to attend, and in so doing, they maximised their opportunities to receive first-hand information to assist with their future pathway journey.
I am very grateful to Olivia and Chloe for their time assisting our students.
A special thank you to Mark Coulton, the ADF Tour Coordinator, for making the event possible.
