The results of their hard work and dedication only came filtering down through social media late last night, confirming that the drumline, competing under their familiar Port Macquarie Vanguard moniker, had secured their 6th consecutive national title. Details and final scoring breakdown are unknown at this time, but they were crowned the overall Championship Drumline once again through a combination of their original floor show titled, "Drums In The Deep'' (written and designed by our amazing drumline director Mark Spence), as well as this year's mandatory Test Piece, titled "Strut".
The competition was held in Melbourne this year, but online and live performances were able to be entered. Our performances were videoed and evidently this was not a disadvantage!
We will share more information and videos as they come to hand.
We are super proud of Mark and our talented students.

Bill Turner Cup Quarterfinal WIN

On 15-16th August, the SJRC Boys Bill Turner Soccer team contested Round of 16 and the Quarter Finals of the statewide competition.
The team came up against All Saint's College Maitland in the Round of 16. Despite handling an immense amount of pressure defensively, the team walked away with a 2-0 win. Special mention to Goalie, Cody Lynch for some great saves.
The following day, the team contested the state Quarterfinals against St John's College Woodlawn. SJRC dominated possession for the entire match, eventually wearing the opposition down who leaked 2 goals either side of the break.
Thank you to all our players and coach Mr Cato. All the best for the Semi finals in Speers Point on 5th -6th September!

On Sunday 27th August, our College is hosting some ministries at the 5pm Mass at St Agnes' Church in Port Macquarie.
