SJRC News in Brief: Term 3 Week 7 - 6th September 2024
Acknowledgement of Long Service Awards – A Special Evening
Last night, I had the privilege of attending the Staff Long Service Awards Mass. Father Paul Gooley led a beautiful service, expressing the Parish's gratitude for its long-standing employees across all its entities, including our primary and secondary schools.
Mrs Anne O’Brien, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Mission, People and Culture, passed on her appreciation of Father Paul and Tony Leahy (Parish Chief Executive Officer) and all those who could attend the evening. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and honour the dedication and hard work of our colleagues who have served St Joseph's Regional College over the years.
Congratulations to the following individuals for their outstanding commitment and service to St Joseph's Regional College.

Year 8 Camp Information Night - Save the Date
Year 8 Parents are asked to please save the date of Tuesday, 17th September, for the Year 8 Camp Information Night.
The evening will commence at 5.30pm with an opportunity for Year 8 parents to socialise and connect with one another over drinks and nibbles. The presentation and information sharing will commence at 6:00pm. It is requested that at least one parent represent each student at this event.
Students are not required for this event, as this is an opportunity for College Staff to openly share information with parents/care-givers without students present.
RU Ok Day - 12 September 2024
Ask R U OK? Any day because life happens every day.
A lot can happen in a year, a month, a week. Whether it’s your friend, family member, colleague, partner, or teammate, the people you care about go through life’s ups and downs every day.
By having regular, meaningful conversations, you build trust and normalise talking about what’s really going on, so when people find themselves struggling, they know you’re someone they can talk to.
Whilst R U OK?Day on Thursday September 12 is our National Day of Action, we encourage you to Ask R U OK?
Any day of the year because a conversation could change a life.
